Hotel Teocrito is a delightful hideout that offers a taste of Italy's charm. The location is perfect for exploring the historic sites of Syracuse and enjoying the beautiful seaside areas. The American bar serves fantastic cocktails, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.
Oh, and who needs restaurants, shops, or tourists nearby, right? Just me and the ancient ruins, perfect!

Hotel is located in industrial part of the town. About 1,5 km not a 500 meters from the city center. To get there you walk through slums, better use a car to get to Ortega.

Good 3 star hotel with 4 star infrastructure. Rooms are bigger then the normal standard in this category. Nice breakfast buffet with a good choice of different items. Free and good wireless internet connection. Can only recommend this hotel and the location. It is excellent value for money.
Bulb was fused and the TV remote did not work. No private parking but close by on the street.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. the breakfast offered a variety of options and the freshly baked croissants were a treat. - the location of the hotel was convenient, within walking distance to the main attractions and restaurants.
The hotel entrance door was a bit strange and could be off-putting. The room had a limited selection of TV channels, and some required an additional cost to access.

Staff approachable and very friendly. Rooms well appointed and spacious . with good facilities. Very good landmark next to hotel..... Madonna di la Lacrime....... visible from most of city to guide you home!!
Would have liked option of restaurant facilities, as other than very good pizzeria down stairs,it is distant from restaurants

Good location close to historical sites, clean room, good breakfast.
Some noise could be heard from the adjacent street in the morning, elevator was very small with annoying doors.

The location of this hotel is excellent, with attractions such as the catacombs and the amphitheater within walking distance. The hotel is also conveniently located near Ortigia, the old town of Siracusa.
All aspects of our stay at this hotel were satisfactory.

The hotel looks a bit run down from the outside but it is very nice inside, we had a big superclean room, the staff was very helpful and the location is good. Parking was easily found just next to the hotel and it is a 15-20 min walk to ortigia island and 5 min to the archaeological sites. We would come back!
Nothing, all was good and it's a great value for the money.

A great hotel! It had everything that was needed, from an excellent breakfast, helpful staff, airconditioning and very comfortable beds and all this for a very reasonable price. If I were in the area again, I would not hesitate in booking again. Also a minibar that didn't charge rip-off prices. A beer was only 2 euro and water was 1 euro. It is right next to the church of the Madonna delle Lacrime, a landmark that can be seen for miles, very useful for the directionally challenged!! I actually stayed 6 nights, as I extended my original booking.
Nothing to dislike, really.

Great balcony views, comfortable bed and pillows.
Noisy streets outside, poor lighting in the bathroom.

Large sign outside the block of flats shouts Hotel Teocrito. I could always figure out how far I was from the hotel by the imposing architecture of Santuary of the Madonna delle Lacrime. The service was attentive and helpful. Breakfast was satisfactory - I personally find too many sweet pastries and cakes on Italian breakfast table. Air conditioning worked flawlessly and I certainly would come back to Teocrito

First: location, close to National Archaeological Museum. Not too far from the Ortygia Isand. Second, room small but comfortable. Third, breakfast satisfactory. However, no English speaking channels on tv.
The entrance to the hotel is badly signposted and difficult to find and enter.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Syracuse that exceeded my expectations. the value for money was exceptional. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the accommodation. Secondly, the attention to detail was evident throughout my stay. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service, ensuring that all my needs were met. The rooms were well-equipped with a comfortable king-size bed and had all the basic amenities I required. Additionally, the location of the hotel was fantastic. Situated in a rather dirty neighborhood, it was still in the city center and just a short walk away from the archaeological park. Not to mention, it was a convenient distance from Oritgia island.
All aspects of my stay at this hotel were perfectly fine.

The woman who greated us was very pleasant and let us receive a room early. She was very helpful and explained to us what to see in the area. The location is good and the hotel is easy to find and there is free parking on the street. The room was very comfortable.
There were only 4 small tables for breakfast and we and others had to wait to receive a table and then wait to receive coffee. In the morning there was only one person working and he was serving breakfast and also working at the reception. Later more staff arrived.
